01 Data We Collect

When added to a server, Argus may process and store the following, scoped to servers it is added to:

• Discord user IDs, usernames, and avatars
• Presence data: online status and activity (game/status text) when visible to the Bot
• Voice channel join/leave/mute/deafen events
• Member join/leave events and account creation date
• Nickname, avatar, and banner changes
• Message content, only for messages that are edited or deleted, and only while the message remains in the Bot's memory cache
• Server (guild) configuration set by administrators (log channels, language, muted event types, ignored roles)

If you use the web dashboard to log in with Discord, we additionally receive your Discord user ID, username, avatar, and the list of servers you are a member of and your permission level in each, via Discord's OAuth2 API. This is used only to determine which servers to show you and is not stored beyond your login session.

02 How We Use Data

Collected data is used solely to post activity logs to channels configured by that server's administrators, and to power commands like history lookup and statistics within that same server. Data is not sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising.

03 Data Storage

Logged data is stored in a local database operated by the server administrator who runs the Bot, scoped per server. We do not operate a centralized cloud service that aggregates data across unrelated servers.

04 Data Retention and Deletion

History entries are retained up to a limited number per user per server and may be exported or deleted by that server's administrators. Removing Argus from a server stops further data collection for that server.

05 Third-Party Services

Argus communicates with Discord's API to function. No other third-party analytics or advertising services are used.

06 Children's Privacy

Argus is intended for use in compliance with Discord's own age requirements and does not knowingly collect data from users in violation of those requirements.

07 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of Argus after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
